For those looking to add another surface technique to their tool belt! In this 4-week class, students will learn sgraffito: an ancient technique where underglaze is painted on greenware and then carved and/or scratched away to create bold designs. Students will hand-build pieces in the first week for their sgraffito projects and spend the middle two weeks learning the skill. The last week instructor, Alexandra Fabrizio, will guide students on how to get the best-finished results when glazing sgraffito.

Class includes clay, tools, underglaze, glaze, and firing. Minimum of 4 students. Ages 14+

Class sessions are 3 hours each.
